About The Author
Personal TestimonyMy life of worship and prayer over the years have allowed me to have numerous encounters with the presence and the glory of God. My experience with God allowed Him to qualify me to write this book and to share my experience and encounter with the supernatural.
My first encounter with the supernatural was when God gave me a glimpse of heaven. I was in my country, a little island on the map named Jamaica. I was in Portland. 1 went to a small church in a city named Buff Bay where worship was taking place. As I worshiped, I had an out-of-body experience where 1 was taken up into the heavenlies.
The sky was full of light but it wasn't the light of the sun. I saw an angel; his garment was the whitest thing I’d even seen in my whole life. Nothing on earth can describe that whiteness. I felt such peace like I'd never experienced on earth.
I was then taken to another place where I saw the shape of a person sitting on a huge chair that looked like a throne. I could not look at this
person due to the light that was radiating from him.
Now I want you to understand that the person's face was like the sun when it shines in all its fullness. I’d never felt such love and such peace. When I looked. I saw millions and millions of angels and they were crying, "Holy, holy is the Lord"!
At this point. I fell on my knees with tears running down my cheeks with my hands lifted up (a sign of surrendering) in worship. I'd never felt such love and such peace. When I came back to myself. I was on my face and I was weeping like a baby.
I remembered when I started to worship, before I had the experience.
Author's Overview
The Power and Art of Prayer deals with the different kinds
of prayers in the body of Christ, and gives us greater knowledge of the
principles that we need to access the presence of God. Without a greater
understanding, we cannot know God and experience His presence. In the book of
exodus chapter 25, Moses gave us a clear picture of the tabernacle and the
outline of the tabernacle. The different compartments of the tabernacle tells
us that there are principles and protocols to the presence of God. So The Power
and Art of Prayer gives us working knowledge of accessing the presence of God
by using these principles.
